Where can you recharge your 2024 Nissan LEAF® after you’ve had your fun venturing around? One of the most popular available options for this is the Nissan LEAF® Level 2 charger, designed for efficient charging at home — learn more about Level 2 charging right here at Dutch Miller Nissan.
What Are the Different Charging Levels?
The primary methods to charge the Nissan LEAF® are classified as Levels 1, 2, and 3. Each of these is accessible through different means, and provides increasingly faster charging speeds:
- Level 1: Can be charged through any 120-volt outlet using the charging cable included with the 2024 Nissan LEAF®. The vehicle takes up to 2.5 days to reach a full charge.
- Level 2: Accessible through public charging stations or an available home station. Fully charges the Nissan LEAF® in anywhere from 7.5 to 11 hours.
- Level 3: Also known as DC Fast charging, this method of EV charging is currently only available at dedicated public DC Fast charging stations. The Nissan LEAF® hits full charge in 40 to 60 minutes.
Can I Get a Nissan LEAF® Level 2 Charger at Home?
A Level 2 home charging station is available for the 2024 Nissan LEAF®. You’ll just need to have access to a 220- to 240-volt outlet and have the proper equipment installed. As you can see from the above list, a home Level 2 charging station can cut your charging times significantly.
Another good thing about Level 2 home chargers is that they’re compatible with all electric vehicles and hybrids. If you happen to have other EVs in the family, that means you’ll only need to get one of these stations installed.
